Excellent food and service. Owner chatted with us, explaining the concept and inspiration for their food. I would highly recommend this place if you want a tasty Haitian meal. Grillot was cooked perfectly, as well as the rice and plantain. Will certainly go back. Just 45 seconds away from Place St-Henri metro station!
Hands down the best Haitian restaurant in Montreal! Authentic, flavorful dishes with an atmosphere that’s warm and welcoming. Cute and delicious cocktails. Great music. The staff are amazing — friendly, attentive, and make you feel like family. Every visit is a 10/10 experience. Don’t miss out!
I’ve always been curious about what people were eating whenever I passed by Atwater Market, and I finally got the chance to try it! I ordered the BBQ Chicken, which tasted quite similar to jerk chicken, and the hot sauce on top was delicious with a hint of mango. As for the patties, I tried both the codfish and beef—while the beef one was tasty, the fish one had a bit of a strong flavor. The chicken wings were average and could be skipped. The highlight of the meal was definitely the shrimp. It was perfectly coated, fried to a crispy finish, and paired with a fantastic sauce that made it absolutely irresistible. We even ended up ordering a second round of it! Overall, the portions are on the smaller side, more like tapas. Without drinks, it’s about 30 per person.
Simply YUMMM YUMMM YUMMMM!!! Very authentuc Haitan place delivering authenticity on all three aspects: food - decor - music/ambiance. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is cosy, classy and affordable. Make sure to try their wings (veryyyy spicy) and their salad! (It’s super unique and extraordinary)
Loved it here. The food was delicious and atmosphere was really quaint and unique. Waitress missed an item we ordered but no big deal because the food we did eat was delicious. Only remembered to take one picture but would definitely go back.
A very charming spot with flavorful Haitian dishes. We had spicy mango wings (wangs), lakay salad and black rice with beans (riz djondjon). Nice sour beer and mango michelada. Very attentive and sweet service.
Genuinely enjoyable dining experience. From the excellent service, to the atmosphere (the decor!!), and of course the food. I have to say that I can’t remember the last time I had a meal this well seasoned. I wished my meal never ended.
